Jamie Foxx remains hospitalized at an Atlanta hospital following his medical emergency last Tuesday.
The 55-year-old actor is said to have suffered a serious “medical complication” while staying in Atlanta, Georgia, to shoot his upcoming film Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz.
People magazine has now confirmed that the Hollywood star remains in a hospital where doctors are performing a variety of tests to try and get to the bottom of his health scare.
“They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened,” a source reportedly told CNN.
The harrowing health update comes days after another insider told People that the Oscar winner was gradually improving and that his recovery at the hospital continues.
It remains unclear, however, what exactly happened to the actor and when he will be discharged from the hospital.
As details surrounding the health scare remain shrouded in mystery, Foxx’s family has remained silent beyond confirming that Jamie was indeed hospitalized.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” his daughter, Corinne, revealed in a statement last Wednesday.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Following Jamie’s sudden medical emergency, the Back in Action set was “shut down” for a day before the filming resumed on Thursday with Jamie’s stand-in filling in the actor’s shoes.
Our thoughts remain with Jamie and the family as his recovery continues.
