The anticipation for the famous production of The Little Mermaid is real as fans are super excited for the release.

But with that comes a series of exclusive interviews from the stars, including Halle Bailey who says she could not be happier to showcase her real tresses for the remake of the hit animated film.

The starlet adds how life has been very different for her after being cast for the breakthrough role. She’s got a series of mixed responses regarding her image in the film and how many perceived Aerial to look like.

While many did feel she did do justice to the role, others were a little apprehensive and made it a point to let her know that the producers could have gone further to make Aerial appear her best.

It’s a film that has been long awaited for so long and we can understand why people are just waiting to grab their hands on tickets to enjoy the fun-filled affair.

A lot of comments had come when the movie’s first trailer was launched and people did feel it might not have met all of their expectations. But again, with a film this famous and a storyline that has been cherished for generations and further, a little bit of criticism is always expected.

The actress recalls seeing one film at the start of her career which was a remake of Cinderella. And having the lead actor’s real hair shown was something she thought was an absolute game-changer.

“I had to stick to my guns on this one. I told everything, we need to showcase it because it’s an integral part of the character”- she added.

The Little Mermaid will not be the actress’s only film this year. She is also expected to star in the movie called The Color Purple. And that’s another feature that she’s really looking forward to.
