‘General Hospital’ star Jacklyn Zeman has passed away at the age of 70, the show’s executive producer revealed.

Zeman was best known for appearing as Bobbie Spencer in 880 episodes of the hit ABC show General Hospital throughout the span of almost five decades.

Besides her role in the series, Zeman was also known for portraying Sofia Madison in 78 episodes of The Bay and Lana McLain in 49 episodes of One Life to Live.

“On behalf of our @GeneralHospital family, I am heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved @JackieZeman,” Frank Valentini, the show’s executive producer, wrote as he broke the sad news.

“Just like her character, the legendary Bobbie Spencer, she was a bright light and true professional that brought so much positive energy with her to work. We send our heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones, friends, and family, especially her daughters Cassidy and Lacey.”

Paying a separate tribute to the dedicated actress were also ABC Entertainment and General Hospital who released a statement remembering Jacklyn’s “kind heart” and “radiant spirit.”

“Jacklyn Zeman has been a beloved member of the General Hospital and ABC family since she originated the iconic role of Bobbie Spencer over 45 years ago,” the tribute read.

“She leaves behind a lasting legacy for her Emmy-nominated portrayal of the bad girl turned heroine and will always be remembered for her kind heart and radiant spirit. We are devastated by the news of her passing, and send our deepest condolences to Jackie’s family, friends and loved ones.”

During her five-decade career, Zeman appeared in several movies and TV shows and received an Emmy nomination for her role as Bobbie Spencer in General Hospital.

She is survived by daughters Lacey Rose Gorden and Cassidy Zee Gorden.
