Nicki Minaj was seen apologizing to a giant crowd of fans who gathered right outside her hotel room in Manchester over the weekend.
The news comes after the star was reportedly arrested from Amsterdam airport and accused by the airport police of carrying drugs.
This led to her team being left with no choice but to postpone her show in Manchester called The Pink Friday 2 Tour. A lot of fans were upset as they had purchased tickets to see her perform live but after the incident, they were not sure if they would ever get the chance.
Minaj made it a point to livestream the whole incident from the airport, claiming her innocence and how everything was planted. She also accused the authorities of taking her luggage unlawfully and then ordered her to go to the police station.
The rapper can be heard and seen refusing to follow the orders given to her as she requests a lawyer and the address of the station.
The scheduled show where the rapper was supposed to perform was Saturday night but after the alleged drug suspicion, it just couldn’t happen as the celeb was detained in the Dutch nation.
The star chose to say sorry to her fans through a series of tweets that were published online through the X app on Saturday. She hoped and prayed to be back to continue with the show soon but was not sure when that would happen.
“Thank you to all those who prayed for me today. I hope you all are blessed with the best beyond imagination”- she added.
She promised to get to the bottom of this case as her legal time was already working on it but in the meantime, all she could do was stay positive and hope for the best.
“They sure did know how to hurt me today. But I know that this too shall pass”- she concluded in the message.
