Kathy Griffin is going viral online after being diagnosed with an extreme case of PTSD.

The news was really baffling for fans who could not believe it when the star comedian opted to go public with the news. She put up the statement through her account on TikTok and it was not long before it blew up on social media and became viral.

Tributes and well wishes for the star began to pour in and the news comes during a time when the comedian was reportedly going through a dark phase in her life.

Nobody can forget her live program on CNN where she made fun of former US President Donald Trump and hence was banned for so long. Not only was she kicked off of the show but she failed to be a part of any stand-up comedy performances and movies at the same time too.

Griffin says she does not like to open up too much and has become more of a private person, whether people wish to make fun of it or not.

“I’ve never really spoken about this in public”- she continued. And that’s when she put out a wink, adding how people were well aware of the reason why she has been MIA.

The 62-year-old star says she’s been through several low points in her life and whether that has to do with her acting or gigs or simply her health, life has been tough.

It was only recently that we heard her mention that she was going through a rough patch after a cancer diagnosis in the latter part of 2021. But after fighting that battle, she is now diagnosed with extreme PTSD now.

The clip that speaks about her diagnosis has the star asking others for recommendations on the matter and any advice they’d like to give her after being viewed tens of thousands of times.
