Robert F. Kennedy Jr shared lyrics of the music legend’s ‘Masters of War,’ writing: “Few have said it as well as Bob Dylan: ‘Come you masters of war. You that build all the guns. You that build the death planes. You that build the big bombs. You that hide behind walls. You that hide behind desks. I just want you to know I can see through your masks… Let me ask you one question.

“Is your money that good? Will it buy you forgiveness, do you think that it could? I think you will find, when your death takes its toll, all the money you made will never buy back your soul.’ Happy 82nd birthday, Bob!”

Rock band The Doors also tweeted: “Happy Birthday to the legendary Mr. @BobDylan. Much like The Doors, Dylan was no stranger to controversy and did not play by the rules.

“Bob declined a performance on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW in 1963 due to censorship. The Doors would later go on to get in hot water for the same issue in 1967, defying orders to change the lyrics in ‘Light My Fire.’”
