Most people wish to see their children have kids so they can take pride in being bestowed with the honor of getting labeled as a grandparent.

But this next story is leaving a bad taste in many people’s mouths and you’ll need to read further to understand why.

A woman has resorted to the online platform Reddit to mention how her own mother is asking for money when asked to look after her grandchild.

She feels this is not only wrong but very unfair as the child belongs to the family and is in direct blood relations. Moreover, she is now asking audience members what they think because according to her, it should be done for free.

“How can she even begin to imagine all of this? It’s so wrong on so many levels. This is a grandmother who should be looking after my kids because isn’t what they’re supposed to do. Am I wrong for asking this little thing? Does this make me an entitled person?”- she went on to add.

It’s definitely some shocking news and one that has many people still in awe. They do feel that no grandparent should be provided with finances for playing and taking care of their own grandchildren. It’s not like a full-time nanny or babysitting service, the child’s mother adds.

What was also shocking is how the grandmother is 64 and has not been in the working business for so long. Therefore, she has plenty of free time on her hands. So she can easily look after the kids.

But the grandmother argues that with advancing age, you simply lost strength and stamina and before you know it, it gets more and more complicated to take care of kids that are constantly nagging and crying all of the time.

“She needs to pay me if she thinks I’ll be keeping an eye on them while she’s busy doing her own work”- the Grandmother added.
