American Pie is one movie that movie buffs have enjoyed in the past and therefore it saw its fair share of immense success at the box office too.

But what if we told you that some people are just not happy with the film and they’re speaking their minds about it now?

Woke teenagers have seen the movie for the first time and it’s safe to say that they feel it’s a problematic film. But that’s the least of their reservations.

Some went as far as calling it raunchy and just cringe-worthy while others believed it is designed to plunge American cinema into darkness because that’s how poor the film’s storyline happened to be for them.

Perhaps the 1990s and the 2000s were all about corny movies and DVDs but people are convinced that it’s not the case anymore. They’ve had enough of that genre and now, cinema is more refined and poised, nothing like the cheezy dialogues and older moms sleeping with their young son’s friends.

Another spoke about how it’s ridiculous to see men trashing women in the movie and that sort of behavior is just no longer acceptable.

“If that’s the state of American cinema then I want nothing to do with it”- explained one person and just like that, others came in to bash the movie that many American youngsters refer to as a historic part of their teenage years.

But there were some who felt there is no need to get so critical about a movie that is a great popcorn pass time. It’s for having fun and nothing more.

Men treat women with just so much more respect now. It’s as simple as that. And thank God for it, added another. And a similar viewer spoke highly about how there is more equality in today’s day and age, unlike what is depicted in the movie. Do you agree?
