Ms. Warren was diagnosed with cervical cancer in June last year.  Even during her treatment, however, the mum never stepped off her track to help those in need.

“I did it right through treatment – I didn’t have a day off,” Kelly said.

“It has never been about me. It has been about the people we help. It has absolutely never been about me.”

Even though the New Zealand-based hard-worker never took a break, she too needed help while undergoing treatment which is why her friend set up a GoFundMe to help her pay for the expenses.

Kelly’s business started out as an initiative to help children who couldn’t afford to bring lunch to school. Later on, they expanded their business to offer help to struggling families.

“It was all families. We don’t discriminate and we don’t judge,” Kelly added.

“You don’t have to be on a benefit – things happen like insurance and car repairs. Sometimes people just can’t afford to buy food for a week.”

Each week, Kelly and her family receive up to 10,000 pounds of food in donations. As the mother explained, however, it is never enough.

“If I was to win Lotto or someone could give me a premises where we could hold more food – that would be amazing,” Kelly said. “We’re working from our home and it is very limited.”

While Kelly expressed that most people they help feel grateful, she also admitted that the work gets tough when they run across cases involving domestic violence or abusive and greedy individuals.

“You’ve got to deal with the bad but you do get a lot of good as well,” the mum added.
