McDonald’s Employee And Customer Who Were Shown Fighting In Viral Video Have Been Identified

Recently, a viral video came out showing a female McDonald’s employee giving a beatdown inside a Las Vegas McDonald’s branch to a female customer after a heated argument.

It all started when the female customer asked for a water cup but tried to fill it with soda instead. The supervisor noticed and immediately shut off the machine to prevent the customer from “getting free soda.”

The customer started mouthing off, goading the employee to fight her, until she threw a milkshake that hit the employee. That’s when the physical altercation started.

However, the customer got more than she bargained for because the employee was bigger and had a lot of pounds over the diminutive woman. The employee promptly pulled the customer’s hair while slapping her several times. The employee even slammed her on one of the tables at one point.

Another customer, Marie Dayag, filmed the fight and uploaded it to her Facebook and Instagram accounts. The video soon became viral but the women in the fight had remained unidentified until now.

The customer in the fight, 24-year-old Sabrinah Fontelar, bragged about the incident on her Instagram account and proudly identified herself as the customer in the video.

The McDonald’s employee, on the other hand, is Erika Chavolla, who is also 24 years old.

Dayag reached out to Chavolla to get her side of the story.

To start with, Chavolla is surprised that the video went viral. “That s**t was crazy, it went everywhere,” said Chavolla.

Erika Chavolla, the McDonald’s employee, claimed she wasn’t intending to hit Fontelar but she started it.

She was also aware of all the negative comments directed against her. “I seen all the mean stuff they posting,” she added.

In the video interview, Chavolla said, “It’s crazy, people think just ’cause you’re working…She was trying to smack for a long time.

“I wasn’t even going to hit her. When there’s a big girl coming towards her, she started freaking out.”

Chavolla also showed a scratch on her hand that she got when she “hit her in the teeth.”

Chavolla added while laughing, “Don’t talk about my momma!” She was referring to a point in the video where she shouted at Fontelar not to “talk about my momma!” It was probably one of the insults Fontelar had hurled at her before the fight.

While McDonald’s has said that they “do not condone the behavior depicted in this video” and that they are still investigating the incident, Chavolla mentioned that she has managed to keep her job. Still, she claims that she was charged with battery over the fight.
