Most of you who have been to a hospital due to whatever reason might know how uneasy the atmosphere can get. It is a proper mix of uneasiness and fear, and the smell can get really uncomfortable at times.
It might even feel like that time is not passing and even if it is, then probably at a very slow pace.
Just like the most of you, Bo Steele was also waiting for someone in the waiting room of a hospital. This is the year 2014, a singer who belonged to Alabama was found anxiously waiting for his grandmother in the hospital.
The nurse could sense that he was quite worried and in a state of despair and she assisted him by giving a suggestion that could pass his time.
It is a no-brainer that he was numb and traumatized but one of the nurses asked him to sing something. The first thing that came to his mind and heart was “Victory in Jesus”.
He started with singing the song and soon the entire space was filled with his beautiful voice, bringing in hope amidst all the sorrow.
The video of him singing somehow got uploaded and in no time millions of listeners were mesmerized with his voice. This is how Steele’s worst day turned out to be the best one. This song served as a catalyst for a multi-album record deal.
Steele and Ben Rubino (his friend) were in a band from a very long time and had always dreamt of attaining musical stardom. That’s it! This was his time, as soon as his “Victory in Jesus” video got viral, their band got a call from Fire River Records.
This New York-based record firm signed them for a record deal consisting of multiple albums. Of course, as “Victory in Jesus” was a most requested song, they had recorded and released it on Good Friday in 2018.
Releasing the cover of such a prestigious song was a risky decision from their side, but their fans loved it.
