An old couple, Ron Gilles and his wife Sharleen, 58, got involved in a car accident in Stockton, Co Durham, while they were driving towards Cambridge from Edinburgh.
And they had to visit the woman’s place as her mum was dying.
They asked for a lift but were refused several times, and when offered, they were told that they would be provided life till the nearest railways station.
But unfortunately, the nearest breakdown service stations from their place were three hours away. They were utterly disappointed as they thought they couldn’t see her mom for the last time.
That is when Dean Moore, who is in his 40’s pulled over and offered them a lift for 400 miles.
Pout of shock, the couple said Dean Moore that he will need to make around drive of 400 miles and whether he was aware of it.
But, Dean Moore retained his gratefulness and said that he would drop them to their destiny and it wasn’t a big deal for him. The couple was in shocked because they never expected that a stranger would offer them with such big help.
Thanks to Dean Moore, the couple managed to reach their home in time and could see their mom for the last time. But unfortunately, her mom died the next day.
Further, the couple said that they even didn’t know the man and they were utterly surprised when an unknown stranger helped them to see their mom for the last time by driving for over 400 miles.
When Dean Moore was contacted, he said that he couldn’t leave the elder couple behind when he saw them in trouble.
It brought immense happiness to him that he was able to take the couple to their mum before she kicked the bucket.
When Dean Moore was offered some money for petrol as a gesture of appreciation, he even refused to take money for that too. Dean Moore drove for over 71/2 hours without thinking about any return or without any greed.
It is a gesture of a good human being who is willing to help people without any expectation of receiving anything back. Sharleen and Ron later hired a car for getting back home.
