Contrary to everyone’s wish, the situation doesn’t seem to get much better, only getting worse and worse as another day passes by, killing over a billion animals.

Due to this tragic incident, people around the world have been reaching out to help in forms varying from as small as raising awareness to this natural disaster to passionately donating money to organizations such as Australian Red Cross, as a token of sympathy.

Locals also have been putting tremendous time and effort onto saving Australian nature. For instance, they have installed water stations for the animals, and even provided some animals with their ‘delivery service’, which literally means carrying the animals to safety, away from dangerous places.

And here are our two brave Australian teens by the names of 19-year-old Micah and 18-year-old Caleb. They are cousins who have decided to rescue koalas around their neighborhood.

Their plan was simple; they “picked up” as many koalas as they could with their own car, nursed the poor animals, and freed them back into nature afterwards.

According to Micah and Caleb, around 60 percent of the koalas they have sighted while driving was already burned to death.

The teens also shared a short clip, showing how they picked up the koalas while they were driving. This video went viral on the Internet, and have reached over one million views at this point.

In this clip, we can hear one of the cousins say “This is out little koala rescue, Just trying to collect as many live ones as we can.”

Many other fellow Australians have also been “collecting” as many animals they could save, most of which are koalas —and bring them to organizations such as the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park.

It is safe to say that people like Micah and Caleb are the heroes that fill the world with a glimmer of hope.
